What we offer

Women's Health Services

Dr Chris Briggs offers specialist GP care across a range of women’s health areas, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based medicine.

01

Fertility & Pregnancy Planning

Whether you’re thinking about starting a family or have been trying for some time, Dr Briggs provides thorough, personalised care to support your journey.

Fertility can be a complex and emotionally sensitive area. Dr Briggs takes time to understand your individual circumstances, review your reproductive health history, and identify any factors that may be affecting your ability to conceive.

Consultations may include hormonal assessments, cycle tracking guidance, referral for investigations such as ultrasound or blood tests, and coordination with specialist fertility services when required.

For those planning a pregnancy, pre-conception care is also available — covering nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle factors, and any underlying health conditions that may benefit from attention before conception.

02

Pregnancy Care & Ultrasound

Comprehensive shared care throughout your pregnancy, including in-rooms ultrasound to monitor your baby’s growth and wellbeing.

Dr Briggs provides ongoing pregnancy care from early confirmation through to the postnatal period. Appointments are unhurried, giving you the time and space to ask questions and feel confident at every stage.

In-rooms ultrasound is available, allowing Dr Briggs to assess fetal growth, position, and wellbeing during your consultation. This integrated approach means fewer separate appointments and a more connected experience of care.

Shared care arrangements with your obstetrician or midwife can be coordinated to ensure continuity throughout your pregnancy and birth.

03

Pelvic Pain & Endometriosis

Pelvic pain is often dismissed or under-investigated. Dr Briggs takes a thorough approach to understanding the cause and finding a management plan that works for you.

Endometriosis affects approximately one in nine Australian women, yet many wait years for a diagnosis. Dr Briggs is experienced in recognising the signs of endometriosis and other causes of pelvic pain, and in advocating for timely investigation and treatment.

Management may include hormonal therapies, referral for laparoscopic assessment, pain management strategies, and coordination with gynaecological specialists. The goal is to reduce your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

Dr Briggs understands that living with pelvic pain can be exhausting and isolating. Consultations are conducted with empathy and without judgement, and your concerns will always be taken seriously.

04

IUD Insertion

Long-acting reversible contraception, including hormonal and copper IUD insertion, performed with care and attention to your comfort.

An intrauterine device (IUD) is one of the most effective forms of contraception available. Dr Briggs is experienced in the insertion of both hormonal IUDs (such as Mirena and Kyleena) and copper IUDs, and takes care to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.

A pre-insertion consultation is recommended to discuss which device is right for you, address any questions or concerns, and ensure you are well-prepared for the procedure.

IUD removal is also available. Whether you are looking to change your contraception or are planning a pregnancy, Dr Briggs can guide you through the process.
